I can’t always read between the lines.

The messages we exchange get more personal than if we actually did talk in person. In fact, I feel like our whole relationship has changed over the summer.

I think you tell me more about what’s on your mind. And I appreciate that.

“Let me know if there’s anything I can do to support you.” These are words I find myself saying and words I hear people tell me.

It’s difficult though. What if I don’t know what the best ways to support me are?

What if I say something wrong?

“You’ll be able to make past it,” and I’m not sure if those were the words you needed that moment.

I believe in you and I know that you are strong enough but when all these things are happening, is that what you need to hear from me?

All I can offer is my presence.
