Mercifully Wise

Last night I wrote about self-acceptance and the fact that we are not perfect, but still eligible to love ourselves wholeheartedly. The imperfection fact is something due to humans and this implies that they might hurt us and we may harm them.

I don’t want to justify a villainy, but not every bad act is a malicious one, it might just be a mistake. Can we forgive mistakes? Can we forget the heartbreaks? Can we overcome the desire for revenge?

I guess wisdom is a state where you see the world as an integrated whole. When a part of this system doesn’t work well and disturb us as another part of the system, we don’t break that part down or throw it away, we fix it. Maybe because of that, wise people can easily forgive. They understand people are under pressure, they are aware of many things they don’t know about others. “The wise are generous to the reasons for which people might not be nice.” Maybe because of that when you think about wisdom, kindness is also a part of the picture in our mind.
