Node.js and MongoDB on AWS

I have created a tutorial that explains how to run Node.js and MongoDB on an AWS AMI Linux instance.

This tutorial goes through the following steps:

  • Building and installing Node.js and npm
  • Installing forever to keep Node.js running
  • Installing MongoDB and importing sample dataset
  • Optionally install a simple Node.js application that implements a REST API on the MongoDB restaurants dataset

I hope you find it helpful.
