In February 2023, Palm Foundation will exhibit at ZⓈONAMACO physical and digital art pieces created by our first selected artist (to be announced) who will be selected by the curator of the digital art platform Obilum from among 5 artists proposed by the curatorial comittee of ZⓈONAMACO. The call was open to artists who identify as women, non-binary, Latinx, indigenous, LGBTQIA+ or institutionally underrepresented communities.

The digital art platform Obilum, one of Palm Network’s contributors, will drop and exhibit the digital art.

Andrea Lerdo, the executive director of Palm Foundation, will offer a presentation on “Digital Art & Blockchain” during the ZⓈONAMACO Conversations Program on Saturday, February 11 at 7pm (Mexico City), where she will also discuss the ABC Art Baja California festival’s El Patio by ZⓈONAMACO grant program.

El Patio by ZⓈONAMACO is PalmFdn’s second collaboration with ZⓈONAMACO.

El Patio is part of ABC Art Baja California, a cultural festival to be held from March 10 to April 23, 2023, which seeks to develop community in Baja California Sur by promoting national and international, consolidated and emerging artistic talent, as well as existing cultural and commercial projects in La Paz, San Jose and Todos Santos.

The Patio by ZⓈONAMACO will be located in Todos Santos and will feature sculptures, installations, ephemeral pieces and other interventions that will be on display and for sale in an outdoor landscape of more than 7,000 square meters within Santa Terra, creating a unique experience open to the public. The PalmFdn Grant winning pieces will be archived and sold digitally in the form of NFTs minted on the Palm network.

National and international artists were selected by the curatorial committee of “El Patio” to receive PalmFdn grants. The selected artists have been divided into categories for the Palm community to decide the final grant amount they will receive from PalmFdn.

Working with FactoryDAO and collaborating with ConsenSys, the Palm Foundation is driving the next generation of DAO governance technology by issuing a series of POCs (proofs of contribution) that can be collected by the Palm community to build their Palm Reputation. This will shape their access and influence in the DAO over the coming years and will provide Palm community members with direct influence over both the curatorial work of the Palm Foundation grant program and soon the wider protocol governance of the Palm network.

The Palm Foundation grant program aims to create a bridge between digital art and IRL (in real life) experiences by partnering with museums and physical galleries around the world to showcase the art of our community of artists by making them visible and building a space for the diversity of on-chain art. This mission begins with collaborations in the 2023 edition of ZⓈONAMACO, and El Patio by ZⓈONAMACO of the ABC Art Baja California festival.
