Christmas markets are one of the most looked-forward to events in the year. London is definitely one of the best places to enjoy some holiday fun in these bustling venues. Hotels in north London with parking are just a stone’s throw away from some of these Christmas markets.

Winter Wonderland Christmas Market

Bavarian-style stalls with fairy lights give an inviting atmosphere in Winter Wonderland. It is inside Hyde Park. It gives tourists how village people in the old days celebrated the holidays.

The stalls offer a great variety of goods. Some offer ornate jewelry, perfect as special gifts on Christmas or as souvenirs. Crafts of different types are also up for sale. Traditional Christmas decorations and clothes are great gift and/or souvenir ideas, too.

Of course, the market is also a perfect place to enjoy a hot mug of cocoa and some traditional European treats. Enjoy warm bread and other mouthwatering foods as well.

Entrance is free, tickets required for some of the park’s special attractions and rides.

Southbank Centre Winter Market

Enjoy a nice stroll along the south bank of the Thames River and marvel at the iconic London Eye here.

Nighttime is the one of the best times to enjoy the venue for the lights and the cold winter breeze. The sparkling lights reflecting off the river are such as sight to behold. In the distance, the brightly-lit London Eye also adds to this enchanting scene.

Address: Belvedere Road, London SE1 8XX

Entrance is free.

Leicester Square

The 25 or so stalls in this Christmas market remind visitors of holiday gingerbread houses. These beautifully decorated stalls are very festive, especially when lit at night.

The winter nights may be cold, but the warm drinks and festive atmosphere attracts large crowds to this venue. The place is truly like a page out of a Christmas storybook.

Don’t miss the Spiegel tent when visiting the Christmas market. It’s a traditional 1920s tent with entertaining performances for everyone, young and old.

Winterville Market

Up for some carnival-like time during the winter? If staying in a hotel near Wembley Stadium, head to Clapham Common and enjoy some Christmas cheer.

There are many attractions and activities inside this holiday market. The Street Feast is a foodie dream. Some of the best eats in the city are here like soft, warm Chinese buns, flavorful wood-fired pizza, and juicy, mouthwatering ribs. There’s also plenty of drinks to warm you up like mulled wine and hot toddies. Those brave enough even on the coldest winter nights can try frozen toffee vodka nights.

Address: Clapham Common, Windmill Drive, London SW4 9DE

Free entrance for under 16 years old. Free for adults on Tuesdays; £2 for adults on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays; £2 after 12PM; £5 after 6PM on Fridays and Saturdays

There are many other Christmas markets in the city. Must-see spots include Pear Tree Café Christmas Fair in Battersea Park, Kingston Christmas Market, and the Christmas Fair in Chelsea’s Physic Garden.
