I feel like almost nobody is going to have a consistent answer to the time vs. money thing…I mean, unless they’re already a trillionaire or something like that. Like, right now if you gave me the option to work all evening for double my usual rate, I’d so take it, because (a) I’ve gotten hit with several unexpected expenses in the past month, so my bank account is super empty at the moment, and (b) I’ve had quite a bit of time to relax lately, and I certainly don’t have anything exciting or important planned for tonight. But if you were to ask me next week, I’d pick time regardless of how well you were compensating me, because I have several really important engagements with family and friends. I’d assume it’s that way for most people…or at least most people who are fortunate enough to usually have the basics covered, but who aren’t so fortunate that they can just say “Nah, I’ve got enough money to last twenty lifetimes, so what’s a little more going to change?”.
