Prínos vede to určite nebol.

Momentálne stojí Slovensko pred zlou a ešte rizikovejšou voľbou. Mať dobrý nápad a dobrý úmysel proste nestačí.

Nebude to zmena k horšiemu. …

But it is not that simple. There are many motivations why people voted for Brexit, it is hard to find one root cause. A big part of it was based on sentiment or on false information. The EU was blamed for things that were still in the hands of the UK government as well as pure disinformation. Some voted based on the feeling that Britain as a former superpower lost its superiority under suppression of Brussels. This is also untrue, Britain had lost it decades before entering the EU. And to be honest, Britain never really behaved as if they had ever joined the EU. But the vast majority of those who voted to exit were motivated by one simple argument, that Britain will do much better independent from the EU. …

Medzi priority zaraďujú ekonomické a sociálne témy. Žiaľ, málo občanov si uvedomuje prepojenosť problematiky bezpečnosti a korupcie na sociálnu situáciu v ich regióne. Korupcia a kriminalita poškodzuje ekonomické prostredie čím primerane poškodzuje aj sociálne pomery. …

Perhaps you got offended by the response to some of your adventurous plans to travel or start your own business. Maybe you got annoyed by reaction of some of your friend or family towards LGBT. Some people are sad hearing aggressive comments towards the immigrants. You got the impression that this group is static, going backwards or living in a past. You can’t understand that they do not get the simple logic in your argument and take the risk. It is hard for you to understand why everybody is not progressive, do smart, brave and adventurous decisions.

Adventurous people are pushing civilization and humanity forward. But because of another part of our population, we are still here. Since the beginning of the ages, there were adventurous people that were willing to put their lives at risk. Great explorers willing to sail to unknown. Some scientists were eager to work with dangerous substances even if they might have brought them death. Sacrifices for innovations. These people deserved respect by moving the civilization forwards. Unfortunately, these explorers often paid the highest price on the way. …

It seems that we are beyond those charming and adventurous times of exploring new areas or climbing routes. Most of the nice routes and peaks were climbed decades ago. You see the mountain, check the internet, get guides, tops and go. Truth is, it is convenient to climb peaks that were already explored and routes developed. You can study the route back home from plenty of records, photos or videos. You read about the problems and you have available climb reports of previous climbers. And you know it is it is doable.
But maybe you are one of those climbers who like to explore. Prove themselves and self-explore by pushing the limits. Be proud to have something new, own. Or some develop new peaks simply by getting lost and finding some nice new problem.
It seems that most of the best walls were already climbed. This is more less true. Great climbers are focusing to most complicated problems. …

Recently we have witnessed occasional waves of anti-corruption protests in Eastern Europe. These protests brought a promising breeze of improvement in Eastern Europe. Now we are asking to what extent is the corruption a problem for the development in these countries and to what extent can anti-corruption protests be successful?

Corruption in Eastern Europe

Without a doubt, corruption is a negative phenomenon. Corruption has much a wider impact than just the direct loss caused by an unfair redistribution of funds. Corruption is actually one of the main root causes/indicators of a weak economy in a country. Corruption in a wider perspective causes demotivation in building a healthy economy. For example, unhealthy European funds for support of local businesses. On paper, the balancing of regional inequality looks good and is promising. In reality, in many Eastern European countries such as Romania, Bulgaria or Slovakia, political representation sees this money as free money to support their local structures and individuals. Let’s look at the case study of the financial support for a local wellness hotel. The scheme is simple, the Ministry creates a fund that is managed by a state agency. Consequently, a private agency related through various financial or friendship relationship(s) with the state agency starts offering support to apply for the funding of projects. Implicitly, if you want to be successful, you must go through the agency with the right ties to the political representation or in other cases, the fund is directly made for the fund recipient with the right contacts. Usually they ask for 30% of the “success fee” from an applicant. Because of their ties to the state agency, an applicant going through them is successful. The first loss is that someone in this corruption scheme will take 30% of EU taxpayers money. But the biggest harm done is to the economy by creating an unfair business environment. If someone can secure extensive funds of “free” money to finance his business through corruption, he also gains a big competitive advantage of price above quality. He can easily beat and remove competition via price dumping or by other bureaucratic bullying that he can maintain through the same corrupt channels. Harm is done to the local employment and economy where people will lose motivation to do business that will result in less employment opportunities. …

The presentation was given at international forum organized by former intelligence service officers at 2016. Paper is describing how encryption is building completely new relations at the society that state security forces do not reflect or challenge from wrong side. Because it is happening now and we are at crossroad to do really big changes in society or Paper become actual after WannaCry ransomware virus, that risk was pointed at the presentation several months before it attacked millions of users.

Technologies have brought a significant change in the life of society and, in the last 20 years, brought us into a new digital era. More and more ordinary life activities move to the virtual world, illegal activities included. The gradual increase in the protection of data storage and transfer brings new challenges for the security sector and the state bodies responsible for the protection of the population. …
