I am reminded while reading your piece about the Sanders/Trump phenom we are living through. I think in its own way, the rush of support they are receiving might be spawned by a similar, genuine desire for authenticity. Which I agree is hard to see in Trump, but might be thought of as ‘talking smack to power’, which is one type of ‘authentic’ reaction to all the fake ‘social bullshit correctness’ that we are all sick to death of, judged on…and can’t quite help but judge in each other, as well.

May the revolution taking us to authentic lives continue to manifest ~
