I’m stepping away from tending my garden for a moment to address your brow beating.

Thomas Sowell — American economist, turned social theorist, political philosopher, and author — although he may not be Jesus or Buddha, his current words are relevant in keeping with my view of maturity.

“Emotions neither prove nor disprove facts. There was a time when any rational adult understood this. But years of dumbed-down education and emphasis on how people “feel” have left too many people unable to see through this media gimmick.” ~ Thomas Sowell https://townhall.com/columnists/thomassowell/2004/10/12/the-medias-role-n1262645

Mass media and its messages should be viewed with skepticism. Discernment that comes from maturity is necessary to identify foolishness. Just because I am a westerner does not mean I subscribe to western Freudian psychoanalysis. You couldn’t be more wrong on that point. I find Freud’s notion of dividing an individual’s personality in to a triad of the id, ego, and super ego absolutely ridiculous.
