No, you didn’t imply they are mutually exclusive, but I think one of the other responders did. I was hoping to provide another perspective for her. I agree that you disagree with that one point from her.
I think too though hobbies can become part of our body of work (good book: Body of Work by Pamela Slim). Lessons we’ve learned from our hobbies can eventually be applied to our work/vocations. It’s all inter-related, even when we choose to keep the activities themselves separate. The lessons are by-products that can be much more far-reaching than we can ever imagine.
