Recipe: how to cook Chinese food, Hot and Sour Soup

Hot and Sour Soup is a traditional snack. It is characterised by sour, spicy, salty, fresh and fragrant. Hot and sour soup has the functions of strengthening the spleen and nourishing the stomach, softening the liver and benefiting the kidney, and helping digestion. So many people will miss the taste of hot and sour soup when they don’t have much appetite. On May 14th, 2015, hot and sour soup is served in the state banquet to host Indian Prime Minister Modi’s visit to China in Xi’an.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Winter bamboo shoot
  • Tofu
  • Wood ear
  • Enoki mushroom
  • Minced ginger
  • Starch
  • Soy sauce
  • White vinegar
  • White pepper powder
  • Oil or sesame oil
  • Parsley leaves or coriander

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1: shred winter bamboo shoots. boil in hot water with a little salt for 5 minutes.

Step 2: cut tofu into shred, soak in salt water.

Step 3: cut the wood ear into shred.

Step 4: prepare all ingredients.

Step 5: put enoki mushroom, wood ear, winter bamboo shoot and minced ginger into cool water.

Step 6: add soy sauce after boiling, get the colour you like. then put some white pepper powder (hot) and vinegar (sour), adjust to the taste you like. drop oil or sesame oil. add salt.

Step 7: prepare water and starch.

Step 8: put shredded tofu. add water and starch slowly and evenly,stir lightly until all ingredients floating up.

Step 9: decorate with some parsley leaves or coriander. DONE❕
