I disagree. Azer unpublished packages containing OSS code. His code was still available on GitHub and probably via a number of forks. I don’t know Npm’s policies, but I would suspect that Azer’s packages, published and maintained by him, were “his.” So OSS isn’t really the issue but package ownership.
