Repent
I do not want to dwell on darkness under the false pretense that I am repenting.
Repentance is not about dwelling on sin. Repentance is about changing our minds and actions to focus on Christ. Focusing on the Love of God destroys fear. Repentance is a decision to dwell on“anything that is pure, excellent, or praiseworthy.” (Philippians 4:8)
Abide
I do not want to dwell on loneliness under the false pretense that I am learning to abide in Jesus.
Abiding in Jesus is not about loneliness. Abiding in Jesus is about loving those around us (John 15). There is no lack for those who abide. “…Ask for anything in my name and I will do it.” Abiding is a life in which we know our identity in Christ and have allowed his love to fill us.
I do not want to dwell in emptiness under the false pretense that I am becoming poor in spirit.
Poor in Spirit
Poverty in spirit is not about emptiness. Poverty in spirit is about openness. There is no pride in poverty of Spirit, only humility and the willingness to be filled. Poverty in spirit it is a lifestyle in which we know our identity in Christ and have opened ourselves to receive His fullness.
We are made pure through Jesus. We are loved by God. We are filled with the Holy Spirit.
