Hi

I heard that sometimes The Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit — or “BA”) denies zav-letter if you’re eligible for blue card and package offered is more than the threshold decided by them.

It happened to lot of people I came across on various expat/visa forums.

Now, in my country, if I book an appointment, saying that I have zav approval then I have to show the letter (or need to provide reference number of the letter) to the embassy guys at the time of visa interview. Failing to do so will cause cancellation of my appointment.

What should I do if FEA don’t give me zav-letter and I have visa appointment booked on zav approval. Can I ask FEA to give me in written that in my case zav approval is not needed.

I am planning to book an appointment in parallel to my employer applying for zav pre-approval, in order to save time.
