Assessment Task 1A: Photograph/Framing

The technique I used was ‘A contemporary building with an expressive massing thanks to the use of shadows and light’. My photographer was Ezra Stoller. In Stoller’s photographs, he takes images of contemporary buildings to emphasise how postmodern architecture dominates the world around us today. He uses light and dark tones to foreshadow that through the development of technology, postmodernism could become an industrialised world or it could mean the opposite. I photographed the Engineering/IT building of UTS and more modern buildings around Central Park because they are examples of contemporary architecture that captures the idea of modern technology and postmodernism through the use of light (sunlight) and shadow (building).

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
