3nd Art-Trail Contest — UNCANNY! — Share your art and win — On Steemit

From my post on Steemit

This is the 3rd Art-Trail Contest. Perhaps it’s time to step forward into building a real community of artists and art lovers. Can we do it? We can try. On the end, this is one of the purpose of a contest like this.

For this reason, one of the category of this contest asks to the artists to think about a particolar kind of artwork.

I’d like to call all the artists on Steemit (and not only them) to think about the most uncanny, unsettling, disturbing artwork they have ever created, and to submit it! But first things first.

The Communities of SteemTrail are proud to announce the 3nd ArtTrail Contest and its UNCANNY/UNSETTLING category.

👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉

How it works:

- All artists on Steemit can submit their artworks from today to May 20, Saturday, h 11pm GMT.

- Each artist can submit 1 artwork for each of the 3 categories of the Contest

- For this 2nd edition, the categories are

  1. UNCANNY/UNSETTLING artwork (both digital or traditional)
  2. PAINTING (Not digital)
  3. DIGITAL ART AND DIGITALLY RETOUCHED PHOTOGRAPHS

All submitted artworks have obviously to be original made by the artist who owns the steemit account. Bots are not allowed to submit.

About the UNCANNY/UNSETTLING category: one of the role of Art — at least in the Modern Age, since the turn of the 19th century and still today — has been about showing the reality with a lens capable to make people unconfortable. Goya was a precursor in that. Art, of course, is not just about that. But each artist knows that digging in the dark, I think. Write what you think about it!

Some examples of uncanny/unsettling art:

These are just examples to my taste. Submitted artworks have to be your choices.
