The leading telecom operator in country, Orange Sierra Leone has on Monday November 25, 2019, lunched its end-of-year promotion, ‘Chacha Business’ for its customers across the country.

The promotion gives opportunity to customers to own businesses of their choice. To qualify for the promotion, customers should top up their SIM with Le100 air time and above.

While lunching the end-of-year promotion, the Chief Executive Officer of Orange Sierra Leone, Mrs Aminata Kane Ndiaye said that in May and June 2019, Orange gave 450 customers the opportunity to have food supply for a day, month and year, and six customers won Le25 million in the Ramadan promotion.

She said that “now is the time for Orange to celebrate with the people of Sierra Leone, a time of fun and merriment, and a time of reflection how Orange has impacted you as a person, your family and community.”

“Orange continues to be innovative and resilient in bringing to our customers affordable voice and data offers. Orange reduced twice this year the price of internet, as part of our digital revolution strategy,” she said.
She said that in the area of financial inclusion, Orange has increased their footprint on Orange Money with over 650,000 customers who can now send and receive money, pay for goods and services at their convenience.

Mrs Ndiaye said that Orange has been involved in several corporate social responsibility (CRS) activities touching the lives of students, women, the youth and young girls. “So at this end of year we want to touch again the lives of over 450 households with opportunity to be financially sustainable,” she said.

She said after several interaction with their customers all over the country (Moyamba, Kabala, Makeni, Mile 38, Tombo, Willington), talking to market women, okada riders, students, nurses etc. about what is more essential to them at this time, “It is the wish of most Sierra Leoneans to own a business”.

“With this feedback we designed a very exciting campaign to close this year,” she said.

The Chief Executive Officer explained that the promotion will see six customers win a business of their choice worth Le75 million; 420 customers win cash prizes worth over Le400 million.

“We will continue to be meaningful in the lives of our customers with affordable offers and give back to Sierra Leoneans with support in education, health, human capital and support the government in their digitalization drive,” she said.

There will be daily and weekly draws.

At the climax of the lunching, two customers who won the Back to School Promotion were given Le25 million each.
