Log — 2016–07–11 — Late Afternoon: Above Average

I have been feeling above average all day and all of yesterday (despite a strong hangover). Was a little bit tired this afternoon before work, but now feeling energized after an espresso shot. Have had a good run of success at work after creating a tool for students to use to build projects. Must keep pushing, developing, building, and learning.

Yesterday I cooked tortilla soup for my friend. The meal came out well. Happy I was able to competently cook for someone else and hopefully will continue in that habit again this week and hereafter, it boosts my mood.

Despite being of decent mood, still not particularly contented living in my current city. I have had a vague desire to get out but have been feeling a gnawing sense that it’s time to double my efforts. A large part of that has to do with my lack of romantic options and desire for the girls here. For now, the sane thing to do is improve the areas of my life that will help me when I eventually leave.
