Jesus Created The Person On Earth
You accept Jesus as your Personal Savior. That does a few things for you. You secure your place in Heaven. Doing that allows you to conquer death. God gave you Jesus. He built the most possible concrete bridge between earth and Heaven.
In accepting Jesus as your Personal Savior, you are not glorifying Jesus or God. God does not need you to glorify Him. You do it for you.
But Heaven is after death.
Accepting Jesus as your Personal Savior does something very concrete immediately for you right here on earth.
When you accept Jesus as your Personal Savior, you come face to face with the fact that your soul is unique in the history and future of time. And this is an essential part of The Truth. This just might be the most important element of The Truth for you personally.
This is an important detail. This is what makes Jesus indispensable for all of humanity, for I don't know of anything in any religious tradition that does this. And without this detail The Truth is incomplete.
Each person has to do this directly. Your cousin can not accept Jesus as your Personal Savior on your behalf, for example.
Your soul is unique in the history and future of time. If your religion does not teach that, it is not a wrong religion, maybe it still teaches you there is but one God, but it is an incomplete religion.
When you come face to face with the fact that your soul is unique in the history and future of time, something magical happens on earth immediately, and most concretely. You become a person. One person one vote democracy is not possible unless there is the person.
The creation of the person is Christ's most concrete contribution on earth. It makes possible the kind of democracy and market that makes it possible to send spacecraft to Pluto and beyond.
That there is a God is not enough. That there is a Heaven is not enough. That you have a soul is not enough. All those important elements of The Truth only become super important once you realize your soul is unique in the history and future of time.
That is why I like to say Jesus can be thought of as technology almost. It is a technology that creates The Person on earth.
