Jews: The People Who Chose

The Jews get portrayed as the chosen people. The Jews themselves portray themselves as the chosen people. But is that it? Did God favor the Jews over others?

When Jesus was born, the Jews were the only people on earth not into idolatry, the only people who believed in the one true Living God.

Abraham was the Einstein of his time who through strenuous efforts in math and science figured out that there is that one true Living God.

Abraham chose God. Abraham's descendants chose God. Everyone has always had the option to choose the one true Living God, as they do now.

Jews were not the chosen people. Jews were people who chose.

But the same Jews were not able to recognize God’s Son as he walked amidst them. Many don't to this day. God never was the God just of Jews. So it would make no sense for the Messiah to be the political king of the Jews. At some point the Jews started thinking that they indeed are the chosen people. Humility became hubris.

The Romans adopted Christianity but also turned it into a political party in the process. The time Jesus spent in India and elsewhere were labeled the lost years.

God is as simple as love. And religion can get in the way. Every religion has that track record.

The only soul you can save is your own. Priests and pastors and spiritual workers are to approach their work with that humility.

India has a great tradition of meditation. But hereditary Brahminism is The Devil’s work. The caste system is as bad as it gets.

You choose to love God, the one true Living God. That choice was always there for all peoples. As is today. A few fundamental axioms applied with the rigors like in physics and the wheat can be separated from the chaff.

There was only one Big Bang. How many creators are you going to look for?
