Jesus is the concrete bridge between earth and Heaven. But Jesus is not just about Heaven. Jesus created the person on earth. Only someone who has conquered death is a person. Only someone who has come to realize he/she is unique in the history and future of time is a person. The person is the atom, the building block of complex political, economic, social processes.

Jesus is about Heaven, but Jesus is also about earth. God is about Heaven, but God is also about earth.

There are implications.

The people collectively are the only legitimate source of earthly power. So until there is a total spread of democracy, there is no rest. But what is democracy? It is one person, one vote, one voice, 24/7, local to global. This does not seem to exist anywhere right now. America has it pretty good, but it is no world government, it is one nation state. It is the oldest modern democracy. China might not be Saddam rule, there is a political party, but the Chinese state has major deficiencies, as does Chinese nationalism, built around the emperor and the philosopher.

Rule of law and law enforcement to eliminate possibilities of violence as much as possible is a modern achievement. But just like democracy it has to be local to global.

Done right, it can also be a tool to identify and isolate the truly evil.

The church state separation is a good arrangement. Secularism is a good arrangement. Religious violence is the gravest of sins. Religious prejudice is sin.

Up to every human being living in a modern democracy where religious freedom is a basic right, free speech is a basic right is political work. Poverty elimination is part and parcel to that.

But that has to be thought of as infrastructure that is relevant to every human being.
