Thousands of years of patriarchy can be solved by improving the living standards of women. The US has a huge wealth inequality problem and it affects the women and minorities the most. Bernie Sanders is the only candidate who addresses that problem in a genuine way.

I’m an immigrant. I was caught right in the middle of the 2009 housing crisis (and I graduated with an architecture degree which completely fucked things up for me) which forced me to leave the US and move back to my country to weather the storm. I’m a female. I’m an LGBT member and I’m oppressed in my own country, constantly receiving threats. I’ll be leaving soon. I’m one step above being a refugee. All I want is live a normal life in the US without being overly stressed about my economic situation. In exchange for all the years I put into my education and effort to improve my professional skills, I want something that bears a resemblance to a middle-class life. I want the perpetrators of the Great Recession to be punished. While I do want a woman to be elected as the President of the United States, I know that Hillary Clinton won’t do anything about Wall Street or the super rich that took everything and left us fighting for the crumbs. It won’t relieve me that there is a rich woman in the White House when I’m struggling to pay my bills.

You might say “oh I see you point but Bernie’s plans are unrealistic” and as a response I present this article: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/cody-gough/i-support-bernie-sanders-not-stupid_b_9103152.html

We don’t need any more people playing politics and giving us scripted lines. The reason Trump is so popular is because people think he is being authentic, and boy that man doesn’t hold back. Same with Sanders. It is time to stop compromising on our ideals to be more “realistic”. It is time to stop choosing the lesser-of-two-evils because when we do that we still end up with evil.
