In the story “Mice of Men” by John Steinbeck , George and Lennie had to move a lot because they were forced to leave in order to escape the mob that was hunting down Lennie. This relates to Lebron James because Lebron grew up poor and his family had to move from place to place because they didn’t have a lot of money to have a safe home.

Lebron was born to a 16-year-old mother and an ex-con, absent father, James grew up in Akron, Ohio. His mother first lived with her own mother and grandmother, as well as her brothers, in the old family home. But when her own mother died suddenly and they didn’t know how to run a house all by themselves, so they moved a lot and got a lot of jobs.

By the time he hit elementary school, Lebron was embarrassed by his lifestyle and had a hard time making friends. Just like Lennie, Lennie was getting treated differently from everyone else because he had autism. For Lebron basketball and football were his distractions, and when his football coach realized that James’ home life he saw he was missing a lot of school so the coach opened his house up to help little Lebron.

Going through those tough times didn’t stop Lebron because today he is one of the greatest basketball players ever to play and now he’s worth millions of dollars.
