Civilization 6 is a turn-based strategy game part of the classic civilization series. Many don’t like this installment of civilization, but I would have to say this is the best one that I have played so far. Civilization 6 takes the same premise as the last installments but adds many more mechanics and ways to play and win. In civilization, you will need to build your empire through the ages of time. There are many ways to win in Civilization 6, you can win a domination victory by taking everyone’s capitals, but you don’t have to kill to win civilization. There are culture victories, science victories, and religious victories that one is new to this installment, you win by converting the rest of the world to your one true religion. A new thing about this installment of civilization is how districts work, districts now take up a full tile and will have adjacent bonuses if they are next to each other, so city planning is more interactive and imperative.

When you first spawn with your setter you will need to be smart about where you eventually settle them, you should make sure you have a source of water and other resources near you. Upgrading and moving through the years you will have two trees to help you navigate that progression. One Civics tree and one tech tree. The tech tree will help you upgrade your units and technology. One of the districts that you can build is the campus. This campus can be upgraded and will give you more science per turn letting you outpower your enemies. The civics tree also has the corresponding district and that is the Theater square. There are also harbor districts that facilitate in making boats, and industrial zones that will boost production. There are also Encampments that provide defense proception and acts as a spawn for your units. Then there is a commercial hub to boots your money income. There are also a few late-game districts such as the Aerodrome for planes and the spaceport for the science victory. There are also Amenity-boosting districts such as the Entertainment Complex, and Water Park. Amenities are essential for keeping your subjects happy. This is even more important in the expansion for Rise and fall DLC where your cities can revolt agents you and become its own city-state. The last district that is important is the aqueduct, that is used if your city has no asses to fresh water, but it must connect to a river or mountain.

It wouldn’t be civilization without barbarians, like this installment other Civilizations will not be your only problem. This installment adds a new layer to that with the city-state. A ‘player’ who is not able to win or settle new cities, but you can work with them and they all have different ability and advantages with them. You can also take them over and make them one of your cities. Over time you will get envoys to send to these cities to make you the Suzerain over them. Other civilizations might get mad at you for taking their city-state and might even go to war over it. Each civilization will also have their own objectives and unique AI so each civilization feels different. Such as Germany's civ, very aggressive towards city-states, or Koreas civ that will strive for a science victory. There are also scenarios that you can play in the game, my favorite was the outback tycoon, that took place in 1800s -present Australia and had to set up colonies and race to make the most money. Though there are a few bugs the biggest would have to be more endgame when you have a lot of different trade roots and other units around the map lighting errors are common, it would be like a stream of light across my whole screen from one unit or building to some other. Even though this game has to be one of my top five games ever played, And don’t ever let Gandhi get his hands on nuclear weapons, we all know what he will do with them.
