Party with a Local 3.0 — Events: Press Release

Has there ever been a time when your favorite artist was in town, but you missed the show because none of your friends were free to go with you? Or worse yet, none of your friends are into the same music, period?

Our research shows that 80% of millennials have missed an event they wanted to attend in the past year, due to not having the right company to go with.

In fact, within the Party with a Local app, we’ve seen week after week that users were using our ‘Party Status’ function for this very purpose. The Party Status is meant to be for spontaneous meetups tonight and statuses disappear after several hours. However, people are posting statuses for the same festivals day after day to see if anyone wants to go to festivals or events weeks in advance.

80% of millennials have missed an event they wanted to attend in the past year, due to not having the right company to go with.

So it doesn’t come as a surprise that top requested from our community over the past year have been a group events and meetup features. Folks want to be able to plan for a festival or upcoming artist tour and gather like-minded people to attend jointly.

And today we’re excited to announce that Party with a Local’s Events — “Join the Party” feature is here! Now you can add your events from Facebook for which you’re looking for a party crew to let people know you’re down to go together. You can also browse events other users are going to around you (or in another city) to join those groups.

WHAT’S NEW?

Party with a Local 3.0 is here!

After beta testing our Events / “Join the Party” feature in the past couple of weeks, which brings group events to Party with a Local, we’re finally ready to officially launch it right now.

In addition to finalizing the look & function of the events feature, Events are also officially launched on Android — doubling the size of the party!

It’s also now easier to invite your friends to join the party. So what are you waiting for? Check it out now!

If you enjoy the app, why not take a minute and rate us on the app store? Your rating goes a long way in bringing more awesome people to the app.
