My experience with Philand — and why I think you should be interested too!
TLDR :
Philand is an extremely addictive little game that reflects your web3 activity.
No need to “play” anything to earn rewards, your past actions grant you NFT rewards that you can use to build your land. It’s a vanity thing, much like achievements in games : it may look futile when seen from the outside, but it still changes the way you play the game.
It’s a lot of fun chasing the “achievements”, and while doing so, you learn a lot about web3 and you could be making actions that will qualify you for future airdrops on upcoming protocols. Actions like owning an ENS, setting up a multisig, swapping tokens and NFTs on DEXes, interacting with protocols, etc.

I first got to know Philand during the Yasai campaign on Lenster. There were Philand related posts everywhere and it looked fun and quite pretty. So I started digging and found that for once, I could play around with a real web3 app with quite low fees. I was a bit reluctant when I first learnt I needed to own an ENS as I thought it would be expensive on ETH network. But I found out it was not that expensive with the current low fees. I figured it was worth the “investment” as it could eventually qualify me for an airdrop someday, who knows. Plus, there are a lot of tutorials on each Philand quests, so I figured it was a good time to learn.
Once I had my ENS set up, I started claiming my first NFT “achievements” within a few minutes. Indeed, everything is streamlined and intuitive.
Then the addiction kicked in 😄. I started browsing all the quests to see if I could easily qualify for another. This is the part where I learnt a lot about web3. I thought I knew quite a lot already, but there were either things I did not know, things I thought I knew, or even things I knew but never took the time to try, like setting up a multi-sig wallet.
Every step of the way, I learnt new things and hopefully made actions that will one day qualify me for an airdrop. I would never had made all these interactions without the Phi quests. It never felt like work — and I had a lot of fun!
See you on Philand!
