How to Choose a Coach

Are you contemplating in getting a coach? But don’t know how or who to choose, or don’t know where to start?
Here some tips on how to find and choose a coach:
1) Firstly, the why?
Why do you want a coach? What do you hope to achieve? Why is important for you to achieve that goal now in your life?
2) The Research
- Ask friends and colleagues for recommendations
- Does your company have a coaching scheme? Is it suitable for you? Or do you need to find your own personal coach?
- Check out testimonials for potential coaches.
- Look them up on social media.
- Arrange an initial chat with your each potential coach, choose the one that you have synergy and trust
- Compare two to three coaches
3) The signing up part
Sign up with the coach who you feel you can, trust connect but also who will challenge you. You need to feel comfortable with your coach; otherwise, sessions will not work.
4) The challenge
Be prepared to be challenged! You are shifting your beliefs and values. After some sessions you feel unsettled which is normal, it means there is are some changes taking place. Keep going with your sessions, don’t cancel them!
5) And finally
Remember your coach is a conduit in helping you achieve your goals. They won’t do the work for you, but they will help, empower you and support you to reach your goals.
There is no magic pill. The is question are you ready to make a change in your life?
