The Forrest Gump

The film starts by showing a feather that is floating and dancing here and there, and it eventually comes towards Forrest Gump. (hereby I will call him Gump) By this feather dancing, the author symbolizes what is going on in the movie, as Gump also himself like a feather, moves towards a vast variety of fortunes. Gump sits on this bench shown above and tells his life story chunks, to random strangers whoever sit on that bench.

The first part is about his childhood. He is a child who is born with leg joint problems. Therefore his leg was fitted with leg bracers. As a differently-abled child, Gump had only one, kind, affectionate friend for his childhood, Jenny. Once when Gump is being bullied by others, Jenny cheers him up “Run! Forrest, Run !” to run harder though his legs seem trouble. At that moment the most inspirational thing happens in the movie! Making miracles happen, Forrest runs very fast with the great cheer of Jenny. The braces broke but still, he runs and then gets out of the trouble. From then onwards Gump’s long-run has started both physically and mentally.

Jenny was almost a partner for Gump in childhood. But as time passes as Gump is different, he is rejected by Jenny. Anyhow Gump had the running skill since the miracle running. So he plays for an American Football team. Then he also joins the US army. He made his second-best friend in the army; Booba. Booba is a very talkative person about only a particular subject; that is about shrimps. Booba had relatives who are related to the shrimp business. On a battlefield, Gump loses his second-best friend Booba. Booba gets a promise from Gump to be in the shrimp business as Booba’s last will. On the same battlefield, Gump’s commander lieutenant Dan was rescued by Gump. Dan was sad because he lost his both legs on the battlefield, and Gump rescued him at the moment he could have died in honor according to Dan’s idea. So Dan gets to hate Gump for doing the right thing that he could have ever done.

After years Dan realizes the fallacy of his idea. Then he also joins with Gump to do the promise of Booba. It is the shrimp business. This is the most comedic part of the movie in my opinion. The storm-facing scene is unforgettable in this movie.

Gump also explores more fortunes and attempts to give his life meaning and not to be a burden to society. I must admit that I have mentioned a very brief amount of movie scenes. This movie is more inspirational, more comedic, and more romantic than I delivered to you. As Forrest Gump symbolizes all differently-abled people, we can say that with some great friends, all of them can be made precious to our society. By making efforts on a wide variety of chances finally we can say Forrest Gump as a person, succeeded.

I thank all the ones who supported in making this movie along with my favorite actor Tom Hanks. As a movie, Forrest Gump gives us a boost to think. A boost to think of how one man can be a success to society independent of whatever he is, wherever he lives, whoever he meets. This movie cheers up to run(explore) like Forrest Gump to take chances for ourselves. So dear reader, watch this awesome movie and just “Run! Forrest, Run !”
