Pascetti Steel involved in the nation’s largest movie theater refurbishment project

The Country’s largest movie theater chain Regal Entertainment Group is upgrading its facilities and Pascetti Steel was contracted to replace all the handrails at Cottonwood Movie Theater. The refurbishment also includes adding new “king size vibrating recliners and will be offering alcoholic beverages in some locations.

Regal’sspokeswoman Rachel Lueras told the Journal via email that nationwide all of the theater’s auditoriums will be updated and converted in a phased approach and that the theatres would remain open during the changeover. The phased approach will allow patrons to continue enjoying the use of their facilities until the upgrade project is complete.

The work done by Pascetti Steel so far in the Cottonwood movie theatre is world class, as the company always adheres to ISO International Standards ensuring that the company’s products and services are safe, reliable and of good quality.

Rachel Luerassaid that despite the new seats the organization was not going to change the ticket price. The theatres luxurious recliners are described as being spacious, cozy and comfortable and can be adjusted to multiple positions and include padded footrests.

Regal Entertainment group has 572 locations nationwide. In 75 of those locations, these new recliners are already availablewith 17 more — including Cottonwood — slated for the overhaul.The chain does not have current plans to convert its other Albuquerque theaters at this stage, Lueras said.

When Icon Cinema opened its first Albuquerque location last year at Four Hills Village Shopping Center, these new recliners caused a bit of a stir and Cottonwood is not the first Duke City theater with recliners. The small, Roswell-based chain filled Four Hills with electric recliners and seats that vibrate along with the on-screen action giving their viewers a virtual viewing experience.
