I’ve always found it interesting that the hallmark of the progressive is compromise, but the lack of compromise on the part of progressives is creating division. “Culturists”, as you call them, are naturally weary of compromise and no one should be surprised when they bristle at it, but that the progressives have been just as obdurate is a major reason for the divide.
