On Wednesday, Chris Hayes went on The Daily Show and suggested a knock-out tournament for the GOP Debate. He attributed this idea to Sam Stein, but… ahem, Chris… June 15 on my blog…
Anyway, a few folks have dropped out by then and I reseeded the brackets according to the latest polls. I needed an even number to make this work (ok, to make it work easily) so I dropped Lindsay Graham who was bum-rushed off the debate stage. I may regret this later…
The schedule and standings are posted below and will be updated as the voting closes. The original poll tweets will be posted on the blog and this page will contain the latest to vote on.
Here’s how this works
Vote who you think won each. You only have 24 hours after the tweet posts. You can score however you want using whatever criteria you want; debate performance, press coverage afterward, suit or tie color, whatever.. Just pick a winner in each “game” that you think won the “matchup.”
At the end of the voting period, we will score the “game” with the number of votes each candidate received. World Cup rules; 3 pts for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss, GD on tiebreakers.
