  1. Make sure the Oculus is at least 80% charged … I say this from personal experience.
  2. Download the appropriate drive →https://www.oculus.com/setup/ | For Oculus Quest 2
  3. This will have your login, and allow you to change key settings and monitor the connection between your Oculus and PC.
Make sure that you have a connection(I prefer link versus Bluetooth for development mode), this is done during the setup process of the app on your PC, and that you change your settings to the following.
Enable Oculus Link
Go to Settings → Oculus Link

Connect Headset over USB ← My preferred way

You must set the Oculus headset into developer mode and connect it to the computer with a USB cable.

  1. Put on the Oculus headset and sign in to the developer account you want to use for development.
  2. On the headset, go to Settings > System > Developer, and then turn on the USB Connection Dialog option. Alternatively, you can open the Oculus mobile app, select the headset from the list, and then turn on the Developer Mode option.
  3. Connect the headset to the computer using a USB-C cable and put on the headset again.
  4. Click Allow when prompted to allow access to data.
  5. To verify the connection, open the Unity project, and then on the menu, go to File > Build Settings.
  6. Build and Play

Don’t do this if you are trying to build for cross-platform — In the Platform list, select Android, and then click Switch Platform. If the target platform is already set to Android, skip to the next step. In the Run Device list, select the Oculus headset. If you don’t see the Oculus headset in the list, click Refresh.
