This isn’t up for debate, no. Caring for the weak, the injured, people less fortunate than yourselves. These are all basic traits of being a good, moral person and necessary for society to function. If you do not have these traits then you are a bad human being.

Ultimately this screed is nothing new. I’ve seen it spewed countless times. Always, always by well off white engineers and the like. You pretty much never see a poor person, a minority, or a woman spew on this tripe.

It’s always those people because they’re the one who’s able to have been able to escape hardship. They’ve never had to overcome bigotry fighting against them. They’ve never had to deal with everybody assuming that they are Bad at Programming/Math/Engineering just because of their gender. They’ve never had struggle twice as hard to get half as far, the road for them is open and lacking obstacles.

I mean, I was lucky enough for this too. But at least I admit it rather then pretend I am the Ubermench and that if only they’d stop focusing on anybody but White Males Like Me I would be unstoppable.
