BLE is so short range that it functions more like a crude proximity detector, i.e. it either senses that a mobile object is within 30 feet or … it doesn’t. At 2.4GHz 30 feet is not even guaranteed, especially around metal or things made of water.

With LoRa @ 915/868 it’s a totally different story — much higher power and much greater signal propagation. So in-building coverage is excellent even around metal HVAC ducts or from within walk-in freezers full of frozen vegetables.
