January is a good time to reflect new targets and recommit to healthful methods of living and living a life with increased energy. But if you are like me, then my good intentions didn’t necessarily correspond with my own results. Normally, my goals will begin with my burden. I’d start looking for a few new diet”secret” so I could shed the 5 or even 10 pounds I had obtained over the holiday season. I would go to the health food shop and purchase the newest”must take” nutritional supplement to enhance my immune system. I’d re-commit into the fitness center or failing this, find a new physical fitness program. I would also make private development commitments such as; reading books on positive thinking, setting targets, being nicer, more individual, which makes more time for my own friends, family members, and myself, be spiritual, etc.. These good intentions would normally continue through January and “poof,” it was just like they never happened! I was probably overly rough or too vague with my intentions to ensure when progress was not being forced or life got busy, it’d slowly justify my stopping, and I would sink back to old habits. I’d go through this at least two times annually; after through the new year, and afterwards again in the spring. The cycle has been the exact same every time and generally ended with the exact same outcome.
