PathDAO Announces Partnership with Nyan Heroes — Cute Cats in Giant Deadly Robots!
PathDAO is proud to announce we have entered into an exciting new partnership with Nyan Heroes — we are now cat dads to 100 unique Nyan Genesis NFTs; each one a cuddly, uniquely generated kitty. Of course, part of being a responsible pet owner is to train your pets to fend for themselves in the big wide world all while making a positive impact on real-life kitties! We’ll be doing this in Nyan Heroes by putting our Nyans into giant robot mechas and sending them into battle to gain experience, win glory, and earn $CTNP on the Solana blockchain — all while doing real-world good for real kitties!
What is Nyan Heroes?
Set in the fallen paradise world of Nekovia; Nyan Heroes, built on the flexible and powerful Unity game engine, is a thrilling Free-to-Play third-person Battle Royale shooter with a focus on small team combat. In teams of 3, players will explore, loot, and shoot in games featuring up to 60 cute cats in deadly giant robots. The devs have also talked about enabling first-person mode in the future to bring this functionality in line with other popular Battle Royale games. There will also be PVE content available in the form of adventures and raids, playable in both single and multiplayer; as well as guild-based quests and missions built on an in-depth guild system tied into the land mechanics of Nyan Heroes. You will be able to explore the brightly coloured, lo-fi, post-apocalyptic cyberpunk universe of Nyan Heroes even on low-end mobile devices with scaling and optimisation. With industry veterans from Triple-A Studios including Riot Games, Ubisoft, Respawn, and EA working on development, Nyan Heroes is most importantly a fun, engaging gameplay experience (Well, maybe second most importantly — the cats are very cute).
Establishing one of the previously mentioned guilds will require you to own land parcels in the land of Nekovia — of which there are a finite amount — as a start. Your guild will be able to accommodate a certain number of members based on the size of your plot(s) — members which will then be able to pool and share resources and rare items to complete the challenging guild quests, raids, and missions for even greater rewards! The pooling of in-game assets will also allow guilds to begin conducting activities that will contribute to the in-game economy: guild-run scholarship programmes are one example; but you might also choose to set up a shop, trading post, or marketplace on a parcel of land with high foot traffic, competing with neighbours to set the most competitive fees and provide the most attractive products.
What Tokens/NFTs are used in Nyan Heroes?
There are two primary tokens used in Nyan Heroes — $CTNP and $NYN. $NYN is the governance token underlying the entire project of Nyan Heroes — there will be a finite number of $NYN tokens supplied over the course of the next four years ensuring that all contributors to this project remain enthused and invested in its growth and success. The main use cases of $NYN will be governance, staking, ecosystem expansion (via a treasury collecting transaction and/or burning fees), and distribution of revenue to stakeholders.
$CTNP is a utility token with no cap/limit to ensure that there is always available in-game liquidity. $CTNP will be earned through participating in and playing Nyan Heroes. Supply will keep pace with the growth of the playerbase of Nyan Heroes, but at the same time will be under sufficient inherent controls and internal checks and balances to ensure a consistent and fair experience for P2E players. $CTNP has multiple uses, including minting new NFTs, characters, and items; levelling up your Nyans’ gear and robot parts; creating consumables from in-game materials for that edge in battle; purchasing rare cosmetics to make your Nyan the envy of all the other death-robot piloting cats, and of course to participate fully in the player-based economy through buying and selling goods and services.
Besides these two tokens are the 11,111 uniquely generated Genesis Nyan NFTs — each representing a one-of-a-kind cute cat warrior in the battle to save Nekovia. Genesis Nyans come in five different rarities: common, uncommon, rare, ultra-rare, and legendary. While cute and collectible in and of themselves, Genesis Nyans will also provide early access to beta tests of Nyan Heroes, access to exclusive airdrops, and early access to presales of land in Nekovia. Owners of Genesis Nyans will be able to create origin stories behind their Nyan, which will be eventually transitioned permanently onto the blockchain so that even if you and your Nyan have to say goodbye, they — and everyone else — will remember the history you wrote for them!
We can’t forget the important second half of this equation — Genesis Nyans will at some point in the future be used to identify wallets to airdrop tokens to mint Genesis Guardians. Guardians are powerful unique fighting robots unlocked by the Nyans through the power of cryptography that come in 9 unique classes such as Assassin, Mechanic, or Soldier. Each Guardian is made up of 4 distinct parts, with countless variations in each slot and permutations of parts allowing for each Nyan to pilot a truly unique Mech. Players who play Nyan Heroes with a Genesis Guardian will receive increased $CTNP rewards that scale with the rarity of the Guardian. Free players will be limited to a single free Soldier Guardian (unless they hire use of a Guardian from another player). These F2P players will eventually be able to earn their way to a Guardian NFT, though until they manage that they will receive proportionally lower $CTNP rewards compared to players with Genesis Guardians.
Doing Real-World Good
The best part is that Nyan Heroes will be partnering with various animal charities to ensure that real Nyans are being taken care of while you have fun. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Genesis Nyan NFTs has been donated to Best Friends Animal society — the leading animal welfare organization working to end the killing of dogs and cats in America’s shelters by 2025. Founded in 1984, Best Friends is a pioneer in the no-kill movement and has helped reduce the number of animals killed in shelters from an estimated 17 million per year to around 347,000. Best Friends runs lifesaving programs all across the country, as well as the nation’s largest no-kill animal sanctuary working collaboratively with a network of more than 3,300 animal welfare and shelter partners.
