Meanwhile, I remain worried that eventually some grown-up is going to notice that I’m still living my best sixth-grade life and stick me in an accounting department somewhere.
Confessions of a 40-Year-Old Mega-Nerd
Rob Bricken

You literally just put into words the experience of my life. Everywhere I go, no matter what I do, I always end up getting called a nerd. Either at work, In college, etc. My own family, even. I Can’t even comprehend not being a nerd. You know what I realized though? Non-nerds lead lives that are comparatively boring. Instead of spending their time delving into the abyss of fandoms and lore, they watch the news or sitcoms. I totally believe that being a nerd is healthy, and it is happy. Go live you dreams.
