I agree. She’s made it past what so many others cannot or will not. The support is lovely and I’m sure has helped a great deal, even if she isn’t sure she deserves it. Thats how I felt as I prepared to take my tiny baby and leave my ex husband. That so few people actually knew me or my situation so might have been just saying what’s expected. It took a long while for me to feel able to stand alone with a sense of confidence.
Jennifer has done the hardest thing I can imagine at that point in finding oneself again. She showed up and told what happened, despite being terrified. Quite a strong woman with so much potential for starting and possibly leading the voice of those who have been brutalized by “loved ones”.
No matter the outcome, she’s acted heroically today.
