I don’t think the problem is with the dosage. Its probably more about hopelessness.

Yeah…hopelessness can be difficult to get past. That’s one area where a combination of therapy, spirituality, support groups, and/or friends and family can be so important. Some people can get off their meds; others need them indefinitely. In my case, I tried to go off them once about 5 or 6 years ago, and was back on them within a year or two.
