WHEN LOVE SURVIVES

When Don’s 50 year old son died. We survived. Or I should say he has. It hit hard when he told me. I felt so bad for him. Yesterday was the first day, getting back to the normal, sort of. At least as far as the acupuncture goes. After a…

Ten Thousand Dollar Love

Shady went after Sammy in the field. The night before they’d been sleeping together. I threw the eggs at Shady hoping to make her quit attacking Sammy. Didn’t work, the eggs landed intact, so I picked one up and got closer to Shady and this time I got her, the…

WHAT THE DOG SAID

After the bullet missed him… When you run off all by yourself, you’ll see things no one else sees. My kingdom is high grass, low smells and wildlife. Okay, some of the wildlife is actually domesticated. I get a real kick out of terrorizing the neighbors ugly little hairless mutt. If he starts to howling…

WRITING-What The Mouse Said

First off, I’m not a mouse, as you discovered after finding my decomposing body under the rattan shelf in the bathroom. I was curled up in a ball behind the door. When you saw me, you assumed I was a smaller rodent, than I am. I’m not. …

WRITING: ON PURPOSE OR NOT

Have you ever wore out your eyes from having seen too much? I do. Read Medium articles till I’m blurry. A book. A show. A video. I’m totally exhausted from using my eyes so much. Last night I watched the moon till the haze hid it. One minute there it…

DON’T TELL ON ME

I WANT TO GO HOME or get Normal or go to Bed Up all night again. Is this a habit, a way of life, normal, necessary? I didn’t get done all I wanted to get done today, so physically I’m not wore out by anything I did or didn’t do. No do, no tired, to encourage one to lay down, give up the fight and get to dreaming. Like your suppose to. If your normal. I worry the normal squad will come for me, take me away and lock me up. SO whatever you do, don’t tell on me.

THE SAVERS HALL OF FAME

Have you been there? Want to check it out? Come along with me. My mother-in-law resting in peace (I presume) some time ago, saved bits of paper. I replaced her position in the library and it amazed me how much paper in small particles I found that she faithfully accumulated over the years. She was there 18 years. AT MY HOUSE Now… I opened a cupboard door in a metal hutch that hasn’t seen the light of day in almost 20 years. I’d forgotten what was in there. Glass and plastic jars. Egg containers. Old expired calendars, address labels, the free kind and dust webs galore. A haunted house faxcimile. A whole 6 foot by 4 foot space devoted to junk. I couldn’t believe it or I didn’t want too.

DIGITALLY SCORNED

The Machines Won Today No, I didn’t have scores of humans boo me off the platform. I just had objects of convenience and entertainment buck me at every avenue I endeavored to make them work. First, I wanted to download photographs from my Minolta. Wasn’t happening. I only wanted ten pics but over 1500 sits in its memory with no way whatsoever to get those ten I want. (that was the first I knew of the huge amount there) 4 or 5 times I tried to download the whole bulk of them. The laptop screamed but wouldn’t take them all. I believe possibly 385 may have snuck in. I’ve fiddled with it so long I’m unsure what the last count was. The computer would freeze up right in the middle of trying to get the photos off the camera. So, I’d back up or turn off the whole shebang and start over. It was such a mess. The computer has done nothing but back talk me all day.

I LOVED YOU LIKE THAT

I loved you as if the world would never stop spinning on its axis. I loved you like the suns shine. I loved you as if tomorrow would never end. I loved you more than grace could fill you up. I loved you on your worst days. I loved you always deeper than you could dig any hole. I loved you like a pins drop in destiny, sharp and quick. I loved you as if death didn’t matter. I loved you more than you deserved.

ATTACK OR RETREAT?

Puppets can’t get compensation for how they act, but can I? Put a ring on it. “That’s never going to happen the way you are!” Put a zipper on it. Your mouth needs restructuring. I had to keep the lava from erupting. My body became so tight I could…
