I totally agree that when you reflect on the finiteness of life, it really does make you look at things differently and reprioritize your choices. There’s actually a research study I wrote about in another article in which they found that when the participants reflected on the finiteness of an experience, it increased their sense of well-being. They savored things more, and spent more time with people with whom they were close. I came across this article the other day which gets at the same concept too, in a very poignant way..
