I Jabbed While Sleeping

I believe that this is what they mean when they say that you should be able to do it with your eyes closed. I have been boxing consistently every week for 5 years. These days, I have episodes where I dream of myself in the ring, blurry visualizations of my stance and the atmosphere that often invites itself in a friendly sparring bout.
I can strongly recall moments in my sleep where my muscles unexpectedly contracted, my fists clenched and my hips would twist a bit. On some occasions this led to jabs or rights being thrown towards the ceiling.
When this began happening every month I realized how plastic or wired our brains were. When I was younger I would play games all day long and dream of them. Now I commit myself to other skills and it is translated into my sleep. It’s actually quite fascinating. This may be the reason why cultivating visualizations can have profound effects over someones character if it is done long enough.
I don’t know what this means, but it feels like a natural progression, when our brain paths become so clear; action becomes effortless. There is no need to think about doing it anymore, you can use those free brain cycles for other intellectual tasks during the activity.
