Nice thought-provoking post. I have often reflected on the “I” / “we” duality within organisations. Those who focus too much on the “I” tend, not surprisingly, to be poor at considering their relationships with the wider community, including what we call the environment. Those who focus on the “we” tend to be poor at governance and what some call leadership (you seem to be calling it creative authority — a more precise term which I prefer).

I have a question. You say “An organisation does not have a soul…... Organisations are stories created by humans.” How do you know? Could you not equally say that humans are stories told by their internal organs? Or perhaps stories told by our mother Earth? It could all be a matter of perspective, and we can’t choose our perspective...
