Dear “agendered” Dambergs:
Rights — certainly those that are subject to enforcement — are conferred by an authority.
The choices of all of us are influenced, to varying degrees and in differing circumstances — by mores, protocols, and laws.
The “rights” you claim for one, self-defining group conflict with the legally codified rights of another, much larger group, i.e., the general public. I am confident in society’s mechanisms for resolving such conflicts.
