Sanders, the Movement and the Future

There’s a lot of truth here. I suspect the decision about whether to reform the Democrats or strike out on our own will depend on whether Clinton or Trump gains the presidency. With Clinton in power, fighting an uphill battle against entrenched Democrats will be more difficult. With Trump in power, one might take advantage of the defeat to reshape a momentarily plastic Democratic power structure.

I for one am waiting until the election is over to subscribe to concrete plans on strategy regarding the movement. In the meanwhile I’ll be working on down-ticket races for progressive candidates.
