Thank you for the Critique. I’m not sure if you are familiar with, The Bowling Green Massacre,” from the recent news of the new administration’s statements regarding this event that occurred in 2011 with two ISIS sympathizers being caught trying to purchase weapons and conspiring to commit acts of terror. The LGBT community has had a good laugh with this one and the sarcasm continues. I wrote this poem and tried to think of a meaningful title to my community. The Title along with the flag with “Don’t tread on Me,” Was sarcastic, but the actual body of the poem was a tribute to LGBT struggles. Perhaps I will need to change the title and picture soon. As far as style, I am still learning. Have not studied poetry structure and style since college. Thank you for helping me to improve.
