Love your writing. It’s so engaging and hilarious. I’m Indian and Christian but definitely some overlapping themes in terms of parents’ expectations and fears. Your conversation with your mom here is so endearing. And love how dad called while you were on the phone with mom. So funny.

I’ve also written a memoir and it’s so nice to hear about similar struggles in the desire to be authentic while dealing with the pressure of parents’ worries of “ruining the family name.” Excited about reading more of your work!
