I found you today on Medium, in the Writing Cooperative. Before reading this article, I read your piece, “Practice Makes Better” and thought it a phrase I should adopt. I taught drawing and painting to adults, who expected everything they completed to be perfect, feeling embarrassed by work that didn’t meet the “excellence” criteria. I used to tell them that they should bring it home and hang it on the refrigerator to feel the pride kids get when that happens to their works of art. “Better” is a grand achievement. Loved that article! And now this one will hopefully get me “unslumped!” I have been a Medium member for quite some time but have not yet taken advantage of it as a writer, feeling less-than and “slumped.” I think you have just helped me! Thank you!
