Legacy auto has been pretending we’re not trying to solve climate change . . for two decades.

We are too forgiving of these legacy autos.

They are actually seriously disingenuous numbskulls of the highest order.

In a climate of Europe banning ICE vehicles by 2035, legacy auto – led by the essentially evil, ultra nitwit Toyota, had the gall to actively lobby against EV efforts and . . miss out on leading the transition.

The rest of legacy auto is not much better.

A lot of time has been lost now that almost everyone (except Toyota) realizes EVs are the future.

Crazy GM and hapless Ford are both claiming there’s an EV downturn, but it’s their EVs, and other non-Tesla, non-BYD models that are tanking!

So just as they need to double down on EVs, GM and Ford are cutting down EV production.

We know why.

They are still losing on every EV made.

Everyone thought the auto analysts were right: the competition would come for Tesla.

But auto analysts are . . auto focussed. How would they know about EV manufacturing?

It turns out that you need to put in 5 years of R&D effort to create dedicated EV platforms that are efficient to manufacture.
