Casein is the protein found in milk. Protein has an important role in a healthy diet. Whey is mostly water with small amounts of protein, milk fat and minerals. Whey proteins in particular are useful for building body protein, which is why body builders eat whey protein powder. Tomato sauce and tomato paste are ‘waste’ products of the fresh tomato industry and are both nutritious and delicious.
